Still working my way through products that are getting on the low side. That's one of the great things about shaving this way; yeah, the soaps and creams can be a little more expensive than what you're used to paying, but they last a very long time!
"Frameback" razors developed as a way to get a thinner blade for easier honing. Before then all razors had a thick, wedge profile. Frameback razors eventually led to grinding methods which resulted in "hollow grinds" - the fine, sometimes paper-thin razor profile commonly seen in straight razors from the late 19th / early 20th century up to today.
